The geoeconomic situation and clashes are also affecting the operations of Baku Port, Baku Port Director General Eldar Salahov told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, additional unforeseen cargo volumes may emerge, and Baku Port is currently taking measures to accommodate these cargoes, as well as the overall growing cargo volume along the Middle Corridor.
Eldar Salahov emphasized that work is continuing on the procurement of new cargo-handling equipment, road-rail vehicles, crane equipment, container handlers and other equipment.
“However, we understand that this is not only about increasing technical capabilities. At the same time, considerable work is being carried out to improve operational efficiency, coordination and information exchange, and Baku Port is ready to accommodate these cargoes,” Eldar Salahov emphasized.
