Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has launched 25-40 ballistic missiles at hangars intended for the maintenance and preparation of fighter jets, areas where F-35, F-16 and F-15 fighter aircraft are stationed, as well as aircraft shelters, APA reports.

Jordanian and US air defense systems fired more than 60 Patriot missiles in an attempt to intercept the strikes.

However, according to footage circulating online, the Iranian missiles managed to penetrate the defenses.

According to assessments, this was the largest attack carried out by Iran in the history of its conflict with the United States.

The Tasnim News Agency, citing the IRGC Public Relations Department, reported that missile strikes were also carried out against two US destroyers equipped with cruise missiles and the Aegis system — DDG-119 and DDG-53.

In addition, eight tankers and 10 vessels that violated the rules were also attacked in the Persian Gulf in order to prevent them from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

It should be noted that Iran has announced the seizure of an advanced US underwater vehicle at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz. This model entered service last year. The maritime drone is reportedly worth approximately $2.5 million.
