Baku. Hafiz Heydarov-APA. Politician, former member of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan Ramiz Tagiyev has been released from a prison, APA reports.
Ramiz Tagiyev, talking to APA, noted that the Supreme Court considered his appeal and canceled a prison verdict.
The reason was the cancellation of one of the articles of the Criminal Code against him.
R. Tagiyev said that he appreciated the decision of the Supreme Court as the restoration of justice: "I am now convinced of the restoration of justice in the courts of Azerbaijan."
R. Tagiev was sentenced to 8 years prison in 2010. He was charged with four articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
