Persons who demanded $3m from Azerbaijani businessman to release his kidnapped son in Tula arrested

Baku. Victoria Dementyeva – APA. The persons, who demanded $3 million from the Azerbaijani businessman to release his kidnapped son in Tula, have been arrested. APA reports that calling law-enforcement bodies on August 4, the Azerbaijani entrepreneur informed them that his son, a student of one of the universities in Moscow, was kidnapped by unknown persons. On August 4-11, unknown persons called the entrepreneur and demanded $3m to release his son. As a result of search operations conducted today, 5 persons, who are accused of committing the crime, have been arrested. Three of them are Russian citizens with Azerbaijani origin, one an Azerbaijani with temporary registration in Russia and a citizen of Chuvashia. The hostage was released, his life is not in danger. Criminal case has been launched into the fact.
