# 10 July 2015 07:41 (UTC +04:00)

Yafez Hasanov, a reporter of  the Baku office of Azadli1 radio, funded by the US Congress, made statements on some electronic media outlets, controlled by circles conducting smear campaign against Azerbaijan, to claim that he was allegedly harassed by an employee of the National Security Ministry of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in Turkey’s Igdir city and his wife was detained and harassed by an employee of the Interior Ministry of the Autonomous Republic in the service area, the ministry told APA

“We conducted an investigation to clarify Yafez Hasanov’s claims against the ministry. It was reveled that his wife Hasanova Aytekin, who allegedly was detained in the Autonomous Republic on July 3, hasn’t been in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic recently, she went to the Republic of Georgia through Shikhli customs post on 4 July 2015 at about 11:00 p.m. and hasn’t returned to the territory of the republic so far," the ministry added.

The ministry states that the allegations against its "employee" about whom no identifying information was provided by Hasanov, are completely false.

"We should note that Yafez Hasanov made false allegations many times earlier, and his complaints were defined by the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office to be unfounded," the ministry said.
