Elchin Behbudov told APA that 25 persons are detained in the facility: “Most of them were arrested over reckless driving. I met there with three APFP members. One of them Ulvi Nuriyev is studying master’s degree at Bridgestone University, UK. He has been detained for 25 days. Another one was Joshgun Salahov. He is jobless and has been detained for 30 days. Third person that I met was Ali Karimli’s son Turkel Karimli. He has been detained for 25 days. He is the third year student of Bridgestone University. I met with them in the cell where they are detained. The have not complained about the detention conditions or attitude towards them. However, they are dissatisfied with the decision of the court. According to media reports, they are treated badly and are not permitted to meet with the family members. These are groundless. I talked to the chief of detention facility. He said that according to the rules, meeting with the family members is permitted on Monday-Friday at 15:00-17:00. So, anyone can meet during the determined time. There is no problem”.
