Director of Italian Agency for Information and External Security pays official visit to Azerbaijan

The Public Relations Center of the Ministry of National Security told APA that the Italian guests, Mahmudov and management staff of the Ministry have firstly visited the graves of Heydar Aliyev and Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor and Alley of Martyrs.

Following this, Mahmudov received Santini.

The sides discussed energy security, various manifestations of transnational organized crime, especially terrorism, extremism and illegal migration that are growing and becoming dangerous, problems arising from this and development prospects of the cooperation between the special services of the countries.

Santini expressed his satisfaction with the development of relation between Italy and Azerbaijan, as well as relevant structures and confidence that former dialogues and information exchanges would be useful for further strengthening of relations between the two countries.

A number of other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the business meeting held in terms of mutual understanding.
