APA reports that the cases proposed for more detailed examination concern Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
The Committee of Ministers will examine 2 cases against Azerbaijan. One of the judgments is regarding Namat Aliyev charged with various irregularities in the context of the 2005 elections and other regarding Rovshan Mahmudov and Yashar Agazade.
This supervisory role of the Committee of Ministers is provided for under Article 46 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
