APA reports that chief architect of Neftchala Rustam Tahirov faced charges under the Criminal Code’s articles #311.3 (taking bribe), 309.1 (abuse of power) and 178.3 (swindle). The criminal case launched on the chief architect has been submitted to Lankaran Court of Grave Crimes for consideration.

The court told APA that the criminal case on Tahirov is pending before judge Rafig Jafarov. The first hearing has already been carried out on the criminal case. The next hearing was scheduled for August 20.

The criminal case has been launched on Tahirov basing on some entrepreneurs’ complaints. Tahirov instructed to dismantle commercial facilities owned by entrepreneurs. They made complaint to the prosecutor’s office against the architect, because he demanded money from them not to dismantle the facilities. Entrepreneurs’ complaints were considered and received legal assessment.

Along with the criminal case on Tahirov, he has been also dismissed. But he has not sentenced to pretrial detention yet.

Earlier, media reported that a group of entrepreneurs in Neftchala had a conflict with chief architect of the city Rustam Tahirov in January this year.
