Azerbaijan releases results of examination on death of Sevinj Babayeva - <span style="color: red;">EXCLUSIVE

Head of Central Examination Department of the Forensic Medical Examination and Anatomical Pathology Union under the Ministry of Health Jeyhun Allahverdiyev told APA that 70% of samples taken from the body of Sevinj Babayeva were examined in Turkey: “Most of the internal organs, including heart of the body haven’t been sent to us, there was a small portion of lungs among the samples. As a result of the examination of available organs, it was revealed that the reason of the death was heart failure.”

Allahverdiyev noted that poisoning of Babayeva was not confirmed during the examination: “All the materials were used to reveal whether she was poisoned or not. Excess amount of chemical substances were not found in the body.”

Allahverdiev said that the results of examination were presented to the investigative body.

Babayeva died at “Medicana International Istanbul Hospital”, Turkey in December, 2012. According to the results of forensic medical examination held by Istanbul Forensic Medical Department, no injury was found on Sevinj Babayeva’s body resulting from trauma, her poisoning was not confirmed with medical evidences, because no toxic agent was found on tissue samples during an internal examination. It was determined that she died of cardiovascular disease.
