Baku. Turan Shakir – APA. “Prosecutor is currently considering the case and will make a decision in the coming days. There are still some doubtful cases after the hearing. The prosecutor is investigating to clarify the doubtful issues,” daughter of famous Azerbaijani People's Artist Togrul Narimanbekov told APA.
Her lawyer Andy Verdier told APA that at present, Togrul’s body is being kept at forensic medical examination institution: “The prosecutor is dealing with this issue, because some doubts emerged over his death. There are uncertain moments in the history of his disease. It is reported that the deceased fell and was found dead by nurses three hours later. But actually, the patient in the intensive care unit should be monitored within 24 hours. Therefore, the prosecutor appealed to the forensic medical examination to investigate this case. The autopsy of Togrul’s body will be carried out under the prosecutor’s decision and exact reasons of his death will be defined. We are waiting for final decision. No side has the right to get information and bury the deceased unless the final decision is passed.”
Commenting on the issue, artist’s spouse Sevil Narimanbekova said that Asmar Narimanbekova made such claims to delay the case: “Why did not Asmar care how Togrul died before she lost the lawsuit?”
S. Narimanbekova noted that the artist was not at all in the intensive care unit: “The state of his health was good. The doctors were even going to discharge him. That day I was with him. He asked me to go home. After I left, he fell in the bathroom.”
S. Narimanbekova said she will bury her husband after the examination.
