Anti-Corruption Department: Any corruption fact on IBA will be investigated

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. There are a large number of criminal cases on banks at the Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General. The Department mostly sent the cases on banks to the courts in the first half of this year.

Deputy Prosecutor General – Chief of Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev made the remarks on Wednesday during a press conference on the work done to combat corruption in the first half of 2015. The press conference was attended by media and NGO representatives.

Aliyev said that 15 criminal cases on 30 persons were sent to courts in the first half of this year. “The Department is involved in the payment of damages within the legislation. In any case, loans are given on an individual basis. Our 3 employees are involved in the case on the International Bank of Azerbaijan at Interior Ministry's Main Department for Combating Organized Crime. Any corruption fact on IBA will be investigated.”
