Individuals who deceived people under the pretext of providing employment in the UAE, Canada, and European countries have been detained, APA reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As a result of measures carried out by officers of the 22nd Police Department of the Nasimi District Police Department, 26-year-old Yusif Abdullayev and 24-year-old Emil Malayev were detained on suspicion of fraudulently deceiving citizens by promising jobs abroad.
Investigations revealed that the detained individuals had rented an office in one of the shopping centers in the Nasimi district and started posting job advertisements abroad. They lured victims by promising employment in various positions in the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and European countries, and through this scheme, they defrauded more than 20 victims of various sums of money.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article of fraud, and the investigation is ongoing.
