Four more people have been detained in Tbilisi on charges of committing group violence against two young Azerbaijani men working in a supermarket, APA’s local bureau reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
Authorities said that two automatic firearms and 110 rounds of ammunition, allegedly illegally possessed by one of the detainees, were seized as evidence.
Investigative measures are ongoing to locate and detain another individual involved in the crime.
It should be noted that the incident occurred during the night of November 2. Manana Giorgobiani, accused of organizing and participating in the group violence against the Azerbaijani nationals, was detained yesterday. The committed crime carries a penalty of up to nine years in prison.
