Clinic director detained in connection with fire in building where 3 people died in Baku

The Press Service of the Prosecutor General's Office confirms information circulating in the media regarding the arrest of one person as a suspect in a criminal case initiated in connection with a fire that resulted in the deaths of three people in a multi-storey building in the Yasamal district of the capital, the Press Service of the Prosecutor General's Office told APA.

"In addition, we appeal to media representatives and the public that, taking into account the rights of the victims, sharing sensitive information obtained from unofficial sources and not specified regarding the progress of the preliminary investigation causes confusion among society and also harms the objectivity of the investigation."

All official and confirmed information will be provided shortly only by the Press Service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

We ask media representatives and social media users to refer only to official sources when disseminating information about the preliminary investigation, guided by the requirements of the legislation, and not to allow the dissemination of information that has no legal basis or confirmation.

"We once again assure the public that the investigation into the criminal case is being conducted fully, objectively, and within the framework of the law, and additional information will be provided about the results," the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.
