The next hearing has been held on the criminal case initiated by the State Security Service (SSS) against Narmina Shabanova, Elvin Ahmadov, and Naib Ismiyev, who are accused of preparing to assassinate a religious figure, APA reports.
At the hearing held under the chairmanship of Judge Vugar Seyidov at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes, the profile details of the accused were clarified.
By the court’s decision, the criminal case has been sent for judicial review.
The judicial review has been scheduled for December 4.
Note that the accused were detained as a result of an operation carried out by the SSS. Narmina Shabanova and Naib Ismiyev are charged under Articles 28 (preparation for a crime) and 277 (attempt on the life of a statesman or public figure) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, while Elvin Ahmadov is charged under Article 228.2.1 (illegal possession of weapons, when committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy or by an organized group.
