During May 2024, the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan continued measures to provide reliable protection of the state border, fight against smuggling, illegal migration, and the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, the Press Center of the State Border Service told APA.
Noted that 178 kilograms 146 grams of narcotic drugs and 225 pills considered to be powerful drugs containing narcotics were detected and taken out of circulation as a result of measures to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs.
As a result of anti-smuggling measures, contraband with a total value of 2 million 16 thousand 964 manats, including medicines, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, was detained.
