Azerbaijani citizen hiding in Moldova extradited to country

Based on the request of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova have adopted a decision on the extradition of Hasanov Emin Nazim, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in accordance with the requirements of the Convention "On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters" dated 22.01.1993, the Prosecutor General's Office told APA.

Thus, Hasanov Emin Nazim, who was charged under Article 177.2.3 (theft committed with entry into a residential area) of the Criminal Code in the criminal case pending before the Absheron District Court, was declared an international wanted person for absconding from the court.

Emin Hasanov was detained in the territory of the Republic of Moldova and brought to Azerbaijan accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
