Former Deputy Chairman of Court: “I am ready to help the investigationâ€
Burjayev said he has not been still invited to the National Security Ministry and hasn’t given a testimony to the investigation: “I have health problems. I suffered from heart attack. I am ready to help the investigation if it is necessaryâ€.
Interesting facts have been revealed regarding the member of the illegal armed group detained during the operations carried out by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of National Security in Zagatala. It was found out that Anar Isfandiyar Ramazanov, who was detained as a result of the special operation, was crime partner of the head of the illegal armed group detained in Gandja Vugar Padarov, and the driver of the former chairman of Shaki Appeals Court Ramazan Burjayev. It was found out that Ramazanov committed the criminal actions when he was the driver of Burjayev. In order to cover up the traces, the group members used the service vehicle of the court chairman. Ramazanov helped deliver to the necessary places the weapons obtained by the member of Padarov’s group Rashad Ashurov. All this was done when Burjayev was chairman of Shaki Appeals Court.
Burjayev has worked in the law-court system of Azerbaijan for a long time. He worked as public judge of Balakan region in 1972-1976, chairman of the Aghdam region People’s Court in 1976-1987, judge of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan in 1987-2000, member of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan in 1995-1998, deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan and chairman of the Judicial board on affairs of military courts in 2000-2007 and chairman of the Shaki Appeal Court in 2007-2010. Burjayev retired late in 2010.
