Khadija Ismayilova gives testimony to investigators

Ismayilova told APA that she visited the prosecutorâ€™s office together with her lawyer Adil Ismayilov and gave testimony. â€œI informed investigator Nail Aliyev about the results of investigation I have conducted. The stamp on the threatening letter to me showed that it was sent from Moscow. I investigated it while being in Moscow and identified that the stamps were false and the letter wasnâ€™t sent from Moscow. I informed the investigators about all of these factsâ€.

Ismayilova didnâ€™t give details about the investigation.

On March 7, Radio Liberty reporter Khadija Ismayilova received the threatening and blackmailing letter which contained threats and intimate photos. On March 14, Ismayilovaâ€™s private life video was spread on Internet.

The General Prosecutorâ€™s Office launched criminal investigation on charges of violation of privacy. Baku City Prosecutorâ€™s Office is conducting the investigation.
