Elmira Suleymanova: Europe has never cast doubt on the independence of Azerbaijani Human Rights Commissioner

Only the organizations publicizing press freedom index can answer basing on what they prepare this list,â€ Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova said while commenting on the media freedom index, in which Azerbaijan is ranked the 162nd among 179 countries, APA reports.

Human Rights Commissioner said subjective views are also taken into account while preparing these indexes.
â€œFor example, it is noted that Human Rights Commissioner is not so independent in Azerbaijan. Europe has never cast doubt on the independence of Azerbaijani Human Rights Commissioner,â€ she said.

Asked about the campaign launched in the foreign media against Azerbaijan on the threshold of Eurovision song contest 2012, Elmira Suleymanova called it biased actions.
