Mahmud Karimov: Reports on inspections of Metsamor nuclear power plant not presented to Azerbaijan

It is absolutely out-of date plant and doesn’t meet modern standardsâ€, President of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences Mahmud Karimov told journalists, APA reports. According to him, the European Union passed decisions on Metsamor plant and the European Commission demanded to close it: “But Armenia doesn’t attach significance to this decision, it modernizes the plant’s activity and builds new block. This country ignores protests of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgiaâ€.
Karimov said that the Metsamor plant is repeatedly inspected during year: “Despite we have repeatedly addressed, reports on these inspections are not presented to us. We don’t know what is written in these reportsâ€.
