Representatives of Austrian Interior Ministry and Vienna police hold training for Azerbaijani police for ensuring public safety during Eurovision song contest

Interior Ministry’s press service told APA that Deputy Minister informed the guests about the major duties of the Interior Ministry, criminogenic situation, struggle against crimes and maintenance of public order. Oruj Zalov spoke about the preparations made in connection with the song contest, underlined that it is under the control of the Head of State.

It was noted that a special Action Plan was prepared for this purpose.

Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude to the guests for their participation in the trainings organized for Interior Ministry’s Quick Reaction Force and their proposals aiming to increase the efficiency of the activity before the contest.

Chief of Austrian Interior Ministry’s department Alexander Marakovits said the aim of their visit is to hold training for the police on maintenance of public order and security during Eurovision song contest 2012 in Baku and other large-scale events, noted that the Interior Ministry took all necessary measures.
