Number of damaged houses in landslide-affected Ismayilli region reaches 160, 10 families left their houses

First deputy head of Ismayilli regional executive power, chairman of the regional emergency commission Rafael Ahmadov told APA that the specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Ministry of Emergency Situations were examining the area. Monitoring was conducted in active landslide zone existing in 26 villages over the last 3 days. The appeals of the residents were researched, the damaged houses were examined. “Landslides were recorded in these villages starting with 2006, new landslide zones were recorded from year to year, the specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted joint monitoring in the abovementioned areas in 2011, the decision was passed on resettlement of residents of 145 damaged houses. But activation was recorded in landslides zones in these territories over the last year. Number of damaged houses reached 160. Fifteen more houses were examined and new houses will be given to these families. The land plot was allocated to the residents to build new houses. All documentation works were carried out and information was given to the Cabinet of Ministers and Emergency Ministry. New houses will be built for these families after projection and financial works. The number of families that left their houses voluntarily reached 10”.

Ahmadov said that 40 houses were damaged in Diyalli, 32 houses in Vasha, 10 houses in Guyum, 5 houses in Lahij, Garagaya, II Yeniyol, Khankendi, Gusheja, Bizlan, Sulut villages, 28 houses in the other 16 villages. hief engineer of the Complex Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology Expedition of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry Shaig Niftiyev and other officials are in Ismayilli region now.
