Russian Investigation Committee issues statement on murder of Azerbaijani religious figure

Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. Russian Investigation Committee issued a statement on the murder of Azerbaijani religious figure, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports. According to the Investigation Committee, a man was found dead in Vtoraya Bretskaya 43, Moscow at 02.00 on April 10. There were traces of violence on the body.
The investigation found out that it was the body of Moscow resident Metin Mehdiyev, 33. According to one of the main versions, the murder was committed with intention of robbery. His Vertu mobile phone, purse with 5000-6000 rubles in it and key of the house were robbed. Metin Mehdiyev had not worked anywhere.
The Investigation Committee has launched criminal case, investigation is underway.
