Evsen Group owner released from jail, MP said

His relative, member of the Azerbaijani parliament Haji Galib Salahzadeh told journalists. “They redressed an injustice. Spanish law-enforcement organizations released Ali Evsen, because his guiltlessness was proved. Ali Evsen was released not on bail”, said Salahzadeh.

Evsen was arrested in Spain on June 19, 2011. The Turkish businessman was accused in money laundering, bribery and other financial machinations together with Huseyn Salemi and his son Halid Salemi, the persons closer to former Egyptian president Mubarak.

18 million euro bail was demanded for Evsen’s release during the investigation.

Ali Evsen is the owner of Evsen Group, which carries on car and hotel businesses, as well as owns trade centers in Azerbaijan. He is shareholder of Albanian Airlines. Azsamand Services, Elite Complex trade center, Azerbaijan Electronics are parts of Evsen Group. Nearly 3000 people are working in this company.
