233 reckless driving facts recorded in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital this year

Department chief of Baku State Traffic Police Office Vagif Asadov said 86 cartoons were submitted to the contest declared on July 15. Ten were distinguished among them.

Asadov said 19 facts of reckless driving were recorded in Baku from January 1 till July 30, 2011. 11 of them were fatal, 14 resulted in various injuries. 214 reckless driving accidents were revealed by special technical devices. Department chief said 39 of them were facts of repeated reckless driving and the materials were submitted to the court.
Reckless driving facts were most recorded in â€œBeshmertebeâ€, 3rd micro district, near Zarifa Aliyeva, Huseyn Javid parks, Babek, Tbilisi, Nobel avenues, Rashid Behbudov, Bakikhanov streets, Bilajari highway. They were mainly committed by persons aged 20-30.

Chief of Baku State Traffic Police Office Nushiravan Safarov said necessary measures were taken against reckless driving.
â€œIf the public helps, results can be produced in the struggle,â€ he said.

Money prizes were given for the first, second and third places. 55 will participate in the next contest.
