Prosecutor demands 15 years of imprisonment for parents killing five-year-old daughter

In the court session chaired by Judge Azer Orujov, the public prosecutor demanded 15 years of imprisonment for accused persons Shahlar Hasanov and his wife Rabiyyat Osmanova. Defending side demanded to justify them. The process will be continued on August 3.

Hasanova Sevinj Shahlar, born in 2006, was hospitalized on February 27 with serious injuries in head and died at the hospital. The incident took place in Bulbule village of Surakahani district of Baku. Police found blood-splashed pillowcase and swab on the girlâ€™s bed. During the investigation it was identified that Sevinj Hasanovaâ€™s stepmother Rabiyyat Osmanova beat her and later her father Shahlar Hasanov beat hear in head trying to force her not to cry. Next morning the little girl was found in unconsciousness and hospitalized, where she died. Her father Shahlar Hasanov, 33 and stepmother Rabiyyat Osmanova, 35, were arrested as the suspects.

Rabiyyat Osmanova is Russian citizen and she was previously convicted in Russia in 1999-2006 for killing her husband.
