30 traffic officers removed from posts because of corruption in Azerbaijan

Department chief of the Republic Main State Traffic Police Office Kamran Aliyev told APA. He noted that according to the task of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, owning to the tasks given on January 27, 2011, at the meeting of the Commission on Combating Corruption, led by Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, the zonal meetings of the Main Traffic Police’s republican structures were held in aku, Ganja, Mingechevir, Yevlakh, Sumgayit and Shirvan cities from January 27 to February 2. The demands of the head of state were delivered to the personnel. During the events carried out within combating corruption in the first half of this year, 30 traffic officers were removed from posts because of corruption.
