Five Azerbaijani experts participate in investigation of Il-76 plane crash in Afghanistan

According to Amirov, basing to the rules of IKAO- the reasons of the accident must be investigated by the country where the incident occurred. Though the Azerbaijani side wanted to investigate the reasons of the accident itself, it failed: â€œit would be better for them to give this investigation to us and to hold investigation ourselves. We have all technical capabilities for it. But we have not achieved it â€“ it is Afghanistanâ€™s right and the commission established in Afghanistan is engaged in this issueâ€.

The â€œAZALâ€ representative said that Azerbaijan is represented by 5 high ranking experts: â€œOur preliminary results are that with a great probability, the plane crashed in Afghanistan belongs to Azerbaijan and 9 persons are supposed to be killed in the plane. Now our main aim is to deliver of officials to the site, to bring the bodies of deceased to Azerbaijan and to achieve the flight recorder which is very important for us. Afghanistanâ€™s side and we will analyze itâ€.

The commission chairman said that the conditions for investigation of the crashâ€™s reasons were very difficult: â€œIt is a very difficult and nonstandard situation â€“ the plane fell down to such place that the Afghanistanâ€™s official state organizations can not come closer to this place, because the accident occurred near the village where the battles are going. If it had been a plain, it would have been possible to carry out investigation with a helicopter with the servicemen in it despite its dangerousness. The place where the incident occurred is a rocky area and donâ€™t let the direct flight. It is needed to climb to the top within 3 hours after landing as well as to use alpinist equipmentsâ€
