Members of Ombudsman Office hold monitoring in Clinic Psychiatric Hospital #2

Baku â€“ APA. The members of Ombudsmanâ€™s National Preventive Mechanism against violation carried on long-term visit to Health Ministryâ€™s Clinic Psychiatric Hospital #2. They met the patients in wards and departments, learned their keeping conditions, inspection and cure processes. They also investigated the treatment against patients, their cure, feeding, their security in food products, and medicinal preparations.

A number of obstacles were found during the visit. Thus, because of no yard in the institution, it is impossible for the patients to walk once a day in the yard. Also it was determined that some wards had no walls for keeping the personal possessions as well as the absence of dentist, workshop for psychological rehabilitation.
It was noted that, Ombudsman would appeal to the Health Ministry on these issues.

They also gave certain advices to the establishmentâ€™s leadership on the perfection of keeping conditions.
