Elmira Suleymanova receives Norwegian ambassador to Azerbaijan

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova received Norwegian ambassador to Azerbaijan Erling Skjonsberg, press service of the commissionerâ€™s office told APA. Elmira Suleymanova congratulated the ambassador on his new appointment, expressed her hope that the cooperation in the field of human rights will be effective. According to her, Azerbaijan has chosen the way of integration into Europe, joined a number of international conventions, great importance is attached to the cooperation with the international organizations, including the European Union and Eastern Partnership, joint projects are implemented. She said Human Rights Commissioner also takes an active part in these projects.
Erling Skjonsberg said exchange of views and experience with Azerbaijani Human Rights Commissioner in the field of human rights is very effective. He took interest in the new authorities of the commissioner, detailed information was given to him about it.
