He noted that if OSCE commitments on protection and security of human rights are discussed, this issue should be absolutely considered: “Threats to the Ombudsperson, who is to protect human rights, will be raised at OSCE PA. If we take into account that Azerbaijan, Armenia and Moldova are OSCE member states, this case should be condemned by the organizations. The Moldovan Commissioner for Human Rights expressed an objective opinion and didn’t insult anyone, therefore the pressures upon her is a gross violation of the law for the OSCE member states.” Muradova also said that along with the Azerbaijani delegation, Moldova will also raise this issue at the session: “Because, one of the OSCE member states (Armenia) threatens with death the Ombudsperson of another member state (Moldova).”

At the international conference entitled “The protection of human rights in the territories of the frozen conflicts” in Yerevan, Armenia on July 4, Commissioner for Human Rights of Moldova Aurelia Grigoriu said that the aggression against Azerbaijan has been continued for more than 25 years and Armenia has occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s territories. After this, the government of Armenia, the Armenian lobby and Armenian terrorist organization ASALA began a campaign of regular threats and pressure upon the Ombudsman. Aurelia Grigoriu said that if the pressure continues, she will take into account Azerbaijan’s proposal to give shelter to her.
