The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center, a British shipping monitor, says two vessels were struck by projectiles off the coasts of Oman and the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, APA reports citing CNN.
The incident off the UAE coast occurred around 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, the UKMTO said.
“The Master of a vessel reports being struck by an unknown projectile causing damage to the steering gear,” UKMTO said in its report. “All the crew are reported as safe. There is no environmental impact. Authorities are investigating.”
