Azerbaijani Army special forces are participating in the joint military exercise "Zulfiqar" on Counterterrorism and Special Operations being held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Ministry of Defense told APA.
According to the ministry, the exercise is being conducted within the framework of military cooperation and training programs and brings together personnel of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army's King Abdullah II Special Forces Command, as well as special forces from Türkiye and Pakistan, alongside Azerbaijan.
The exercise scenario includes a series of tactical activities simulating various operational conditions, with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), modern military equipment, and advanced systems.
The participants will carry out missions involving urban combat, hostage rescue, and counterterrorism operations, as well as conduct live-fire exercises using various types of weapons.
The exercise aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the participating units, improve the combat readiness of special forces, strengthen coordination during joint operations, and facilitate the exchange of experience in the field of special operations.
