Azerbaijan increases imports of Georgian products

Azerbaijan imported locally produced goods worth USD 76.9 million from Georgia in January-June this year, a report by the National Statistics Office of Georgia said, APA's local bureau reports.

Compared to the same period last year, Azerbaijan increased imports of Georgian products by 10.7%.

Azerbaijan ranked seventh among the top ten export destinations for Georgia's locally produced goods, accounting for 3.2% of total exports in this category.

In the first half of the year, the total value of Georgia's exports of locally produced goods amounted to USD 3.87 billion, exceeding the figure for the same period last year by 20%.

Georgia's top ten locally produced export items included petroleum and petroleum oils, precious metal ores and concentrates, ferroalloys, copper ores and concentrates, fresh grape wine, natural or artificial mineral and carbonated waters without added sugar, mineral and carbonated waters with added sugar, alcoholic beverages, nitrogen fertilizers, and gold in unwrought, semi-manufactured or powder form.
