The United Kingdom's new Prime Minister Andy Burnham has said that US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be among the first foreign leaders he calls, APA reports.
The new Prime Minister made the remarks in a television interview broadcast after his speech in Downing Street.
Burnham stressed that he would make it clear to Zelenskyy that the United Kingdom's support for Ukraine would not change.
"President Zelenskyy will be in no doubt that the United Kingdom's support is unwavering and resolute. We will stand by him, and I will personally stand by him," the Prime Minister said.
He added that, like his predecessor Keir Starmer, he would continue to support Ukraine "100 percent."
