Baku – APA. Co-chairs of the World Azerbaijanis Congress (WAC), MP Sabir Rustamkhanli and Firudin Parvizniya have been paying a visit to the US since April 23. WAC press service told APA that as a part of the visit supported by the US embassy the co-chairs held meetings at the US Department of State.
The meetings focused on several important problems of Azerbaijan. Noting the activity of the US and Russia, OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries, Sabir Rustamkhanli also underlined the importance of the fair development of the US-Azerbaijan relations in terms of the future of the region.
They also touched on anti-Azerbaijan policy of Iran, the necessary changes in Islamic countries and the WAC position on the place of South Azerbaijan in the Great Middle East project.
The visit will end on May 2.
