The relevant order of Azerbaijan’s President has been posted on the webpage of the consulate.
Gudsi Osmanov told APA’s correspondent that he regarded the new appointment as a great confidence: “Yesterday the President of Azerbaijan issued orders. One of them concerns my recall and the second my appointment as Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Russia. Taking into account my diplomatic achievements, I have been entrusted with a higher position. Now I’m going to work as deputy ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia. It is a great honor for me. I will perform all the tasks lying ahead me.
Osmanov said that he has wide experience in the development of economic and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and the regions of Russia: “As deputy ambassador, I will do my best for further development of Russia-Azerbaijan relations. I have been living in Russia for more than 25 years. Previously I worked as honorary consul and then as the Consul General for a long time. I am sure that I will justify the confidence.”
