Berde. Teymur Zahidoghlu – APA. Head of the European Union delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Roland Kobia visited Berde region. APA’s Karabakh bureau reports that the diplomat met with head of Berde Region Executive Authority Vidadi Isayev. Kobia said that the EU is interested in implementing humanitarian projects in Berde.
Following the meeting, visiting Khesilli village of Berde, the ambassador said that his organization is going to participate in the humanitarian projects in all regions of Azerbaijan: “Our visit aims to expand Azerbaijan-EU relations and achieve spreading of cooperation to the regions. This is my first visit to this region. I met with the head of region executive authority and discussed the possibility of spheres for our cooperation.”
After reviewing the medical station built in Khesilli village with the financial support of the EU, as well as an artesian well in Aliyanli village drilled to provide potable water, the ambassador expressed his satisfaction: “We see that these activities are of great benefit to the population. It makes us happy. We keep in touch with people in different regions. Our main goal is to improve their social conditions.”
