EU intends to implement joint projects with Azerbaijani Central Election Commission on presidential elections

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Head of the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Roland Kobia has today met with chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov, APA reports. The chairman said that CEC attaches a special attention to the relations with the leading international organizations including EU.

The ambassador was interested in activities carried out on the upcoming presidential elections and noted that his organization intends to implement joint projects with the Central Election Commission.

CEC chairman expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of joint projects with the international organizations and underlined that this cooperation contributes to improving the level of the subordinate election commissions. They also exchanged views on the prospects for future development of cooperation and discussed the issues of mutual interest.
