Azerbaijani President: "The vast majority of Muslim countries actively support us"

According to APA, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with the participants Conference of Ministers of Labor of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Baku.

The Head of State noted that there are so many compatriots who still suffering from the Armenian occupation: "Armenia has implemented a policy of ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijan. Azerbaijanis have lost their historical lands. Our historical monuments, religious monuments, mosques destroyed by the Armenians. There are a lot of facts, documents, videos, photos, supporting this atrocity. Armenians committed genocide against Azerbaijanis. In February 1992, the Khojaly genocide committed by Armenians and killed 613 people - more than 100 of them women, 63 - children. It was unthinkable brutality, a manifestation of the Armenian fascism."

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that international law supports the position of Azerbaijan. "The UN Security Council adopted four resolutions on unconditional withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied territories. Unfortunately, however, these resolutions are not fulfilled. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and other organizations have adopted solutions, resolutions to restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. However, this issue has yet to find its solutions. 20% of Azerbaijani territory is under occupation, and more than one million Azerbaijanis and today suffer from the occupation,"- said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
