Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora organizations protest outside Council of Europe

APA’s European bureau reports that the protestors are against the chairmanship of Armenia, the anti-democratic and occupier country, of the CoE Committee of Ministers.

The discussion on the results of the Armenian presidential elections will be held at today’s plenary meeting of the PACE session. Moreover, Armenia will chair the Committee of Ministers, one of the main agencies of the Council of Europe, for 6 months. Some pro-Armenian lobbyists offer to remove this country from the control of the PACE Monitoring Committee alleging the development of democratic institutes in Armenia.

The participants of the protest say that Armenia has no moral right to chair this committee. The aim of the demonstration is to draw the attention of the French and European public to these issues. The participants condemn the aggressive policy pursued by Armenia against Azerbaijan and demand to put an end to it.
