Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has today received chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists group in the European Parliament Martin Callanan, APA reports.
Stressing development of Azerbaijan-EU relations in various spheres, President Ilham Aliyev mentioned with pleasure his visit to Brussels and the successful visits of European Union Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, European Union Council President Herman Van Rompuy and EU High Representative Catherine Ashton to Azerbaijan. Stating that our cooperation is at the high level, the Head of State underlined the further expansion of this cooperation.
In his turn, chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists group in the European Parliament Martin Callanan said that EU is interested in enhancing the cooperation with Azerbaijan, which is located in favorable strategic position.
They also spoke about the prospect of cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU, regional relations, the other issues and exchanged views on the current state and prospects of the negotiations on the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
