A delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev has participated in the 16th International Economic Forum Russia–Islamic World: Kazan Forum 2025, APA reports citing the Cabinet of Ministers.
This year’s forum focused on Digitalization: A New Reality and Enhanced Opportunities for Expanding Cooperation. Key topics included international partnerships, finance and investment, transport logistics, tourism, education, and healthcare.
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev took part in the plenary session and provided detailed information on the development of digitalization in the country and ongoing projects in this field.
During the visit, he held several bilateral meetings with high-ranking officials, including Russian Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister, Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World.
The talks focused on economic cooperation prospects, bilateral and multilateral ties, expanding transport and logistics opportunities, and enhancing collaboration among regional organizations. Special emphasis was placed on joint initiatives in trade, investment, and digital technologies.
The Azerbaijani delegation also visited the national stand at the “Russia Halal Expo,” an international exhibition held as part of the forum showcasing national achievements in products and services.
