Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim holds briefing for members of American Club of Brussels

The American Club of Brussels was founded by a group of American businessmen in 1921. Initially, the objective of the Club was to improve the social and business relations among the Americans living in Brussels. Now this Club is also open for the citizens of other states serving similar interests. The Club brings together the citizens of more than 20 countries. The Club invites officials (also US Ambassador to Belgium once a year) and organizes dinners, various social-cultural visits and festivities.

Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim was invited to the event. Members of the Management Board, including 38 representatives from the US, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Canada and Lithuania attended the event.

Khazar Ibrahim informed the attendees about Azerbaijan’s history, geostrategic position, foreign policy, hydrocarbon resources, energy security, Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, its negative impacts on the regional development, cooperation with international organizations, important role of our country in transportation and transit. The guests asked questions about Azerbaijan’s domestic and foreign policy, including relations with the neighboring states, distribution of oil revenues, tourism potential.

The attendees were given gifts serving to raise awareness about our country.
