Around 2.2 million citizens receive social payments every month, amounting to approximately AZN 900 million, Chairman of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) Zeka Mirzayev said in an interview with APA.
He noted that 74% of the amount is allocated to labor pensions, while the remainder is paid as social benefits and targeted state social assistance.
Mirzayev said targeted state social assistance is provided to low-income families under the state social support program.
He added that AZN 465 million has been allocated for this purpose in 2026, with about AZN 35 million to be paid monthly.
“We provide targeted state social assistance to 76,000 families, covering more than 350,000 family members,” he said.
