Ukraine currently produces 10 million drones a year, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during an event in Kyiv marking Ukraine's Statehood Day, APA reports.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine plans to increase annual drone production to 20 million.
The Ukrainian president recalled that his earlier announcement about producing 1 million drones per year had been met with skepticism both at home and abroad.
“I remember that when I first announced the state's plan to produce 1 million drones annually, many people in Ukraine and abroad were skeptical. Now we can state the fact: we produce 10 million drones a year. Ten million, and in the future this figure will reach 20 million,” Zelenskyy said.
