The Kremlin is taking note of and analyzing US President Donald Trump's statements regarding possible new sanctions against Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said during a briefing on Wednesday, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
“As for the issue of sanctions, we are carefully listening to, taking note of, and analyzing the statements made about these sanctions both at the working level and by the President of the United States. We will monitor the process depending on how events develop,” Peskov said.
Earlier, media reports said that a group of US senators had introduced a bill on new sanctions against Russia, with Republican Senator Lindsey Graham helping to draft the legislation. It was also reported that President Donald Trump is prepared to support the bill.
