The issue of ratifying the framework agreement on strategic partnership signed between Armenia and the United States under the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) project has been included in the agenda of the Armenian government's meeting scheduled for July 16, Armenpress reports.
According to the report, the Armenian government proposes approving the draft law on the ratification of the agreement. The draft is among the items to be considered without discussion during the government meeting.
The framework agreement was signed in Washington on June 1, 2026, and in Yerevan on June 4.
The document will be submitted to the Constitutional Court to determine whether the obligations stipulated in the agreement comply with the Constitution of Armenia.
If the Constitutional Court concludes that the provisions of the agreement are in line with the Constitution, the government's legislative initiative will be submitted to the National Assembly of Armenia in accordance with the established procedure.
